Jaime Navetta, DNP, RN, CNE, who began her one-year appointment as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at the College of Nursing on August 1, 2023, is a graduate of both its Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

Dr. Butch de Castro has been appointed the next Dean of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½â€™s College of Nursing and will hold the Robert J. and Mary H. Bertch Endowed Professorship in Nursing Leadership, he will join ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ on July 1 2023.

A Certified Nurse Midwife, Ellis is a parent and transgender and non-binary person using he/they pronouns. They are passionate about the need for clinically competent and culturally proficient care for transgender and gender non-conforming patients and for health care environments that welcome people of all gender identities.

The Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) has granted continued accreditation to the Nurse-Midwifery program for ten years, the maximum allowed. Since 2009, the Nurse-Midwifery program at ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ has prepared 65 MSN and 79 DNP graduates, as well as 6 post-graduate certificate midwives all of whom provide critically needed care in the U.S. and around the world
